Lost and Found Donkey Rescue
Located on Ithaca Farm in Germantown, Maryland, Lost and Found Donkey Rescue Foundation, Inc. is a registered Maryland charitable organization dedicated to rescuing equines and other animals from neglect, abuse, and slaughter. Through the program these animals are cared for, rehabilitated, retrained, and placed in new homes.
Founded by Mary and Robert Truland in 1999 and directed by Ashley Young, at any given time the rescue is home to between 9-20 donkeys, 2-5 horses, 10 goats, 1 sheep, 2 cows and 1-2 mules.
Mr. and Mrs. Truland have generously donated part of their beautiful property for Lost and Found to operate on, and because the farm is also their home, visits are only for pre-approved adopter applicants and are by appointment only.
